HEY, We are LOUU!

A food brand rooted in love, established by food designer Slow Chen in 2021. Playing on a twist of “love you”, LOUU celebrates our love for nature and land while preserving the terroir and flavors of Taiwan.

Seasoned and packed in glass cans, our ready-to-eat confit and pickles are all made with local ingredients & spices from different regions in Taiwan. Explore the local beauty with our products!

Here at LOUU, we strive to create a contemporary impression from seasonal local ingredients in collaboration with fellow makers, farmers, fishermen, and chefs. The process begins with dissecting shared taste experiences amongst generations, the elements are then reimagined and designed for the modern palate.

Inspired by the characteristics of Eusociality including cooperative care and division of labor, LOUU hopes to create and build a community upon arts, culture, and literature using food as a medium, realizing Eat-sociality.

In addition to using local ingredients, all LOUU products are packaged in recyclable materials. We are also looking to incorporate more ugly food into our design and production system in hope to help reduce food waste.
